Confirm family relationships after death through post mortem DNA testing on non-standard sample types. Samples are processed at a high quality laboratory specializing in nonstandard sample types. Proper documentation, chain of custody, and consent allows for legal court admissible results.
Blood
FTA Blood cards or whole blood samples may be processed.
Bone
Femurs or other weight bearing bones work the best.
Teeth
Teeth are usually grinded for best results. Molars are preferred.
Hair
Hair must be pulled with the root intact (10-15 strand minimum).
Tissue
1 cm by 1 cm of tissue, non-embalmed specimens preferred.
Fingernails
Pulled or clipped fingernails ortoenails may be processed.
